Green Car Reports, an industry publication on hybrid vehicles, electric cars and clean energy, in May highlighted the center’s latest research on electric vehicle tax credits in Georgia.
The article, “What Should Georgia Electric Car Buyers Do By June 30?,” reports on the impending sunset of the tax credit for zero-emission vehicles. By June 30, the article states, interested buyers must take advantage of the credit, or wait for improved battery-electric cars to come on the market.
In the Center for State and Local Finance’s report, “Georgia’s Tax Credit for Zero- and Low-Emission Vehicles,” researchers take a retrospective look at the state’s applicable tax credits, which were enacted in 1998.
It is authored by Mels de Zeeuw, a graduate research assistant, and Laura Wheeler, a senior research associate.
