The article, “Fewer in Georgia in poverty, at least on paper,” highlights the affects of poverty in Georgia, while noting that there are fewer people in these dire circumstances.
Recently released U.S. Census figures show that Georgia has an estimated 50,500 fewer people living below the poverty line since 2012.
“It’s a positive sign, but it’s not a trend,” Sjoquist, who is affiliated with the Center for State and Local finance, was quoted as saying.
